INVERNESS WHISKY FESTIVAL

Friday 4th & Saturday 5th April 2014

Whisky Fun in the Highlands of Scotland. One of Scotland's most vibrant whisky festivals with drams, masterclasses, demonstrations, live music and auction.

The Malt and Barley Revue is an hour-long performance of songs, stories and poems by Tom Morton, all about Scotland and whisky. This will be Tom's third Inverness Whisky Festival. But there's a twist - you get a guided tasting of three top drams thrown in, with acclaimed whisky expert Angus MacGraild.

Funny, informative, laced with tragedy and tall tales, you may find yourself singing about steamboats or along with murderous highwayman, munching a very scratchy sweetmeat or wondering how on earth the Mother of Japanese Whisky came from Kirkintilloch.

You will certainly be sipping three of finest whiskies in the world, and honing your nosing and slurping skills, helped by Angus, who works for  the auction website Whisky Online. Also, Angus is a specialist in valuing old and rare whiskies, so if you have anything lying about in cupboard, cellar or loft, bring it along and he'll tell you how much it's worth!

Oh, and signed copies of Tom's new book 'A Whisky in Monsterville' will be on sale - a rare chance to get hold of the print-and-paper version.
